Shana Pete, JD
Shana brings diverse experience to her current role at CEN, having served as the founding executive director of a Tri-Valley nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome poverty. With a Bachelor of Science in international business and a Doctor of Jurisprudence, Shana practiced law for eight years before moving to the Bay Area. Her career includes managing Excel Child Development Center, coordinating programs for Read Aloud America, and overseeing a 30-person team at Amazon. A passionate community activist, Shana moderated a three-city panel on racial inequity in government and policing, featuring nine government officials. She also served as a board member for the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance. Dedicated to inclusion, diversity, equity, access, and liberation (IDEAL), Shana consults with individuals and organizations to foster greater openness and opportunities for growth and partnership.
