Catherine Gonzalez

Catherine Gonzalez is a strategic and mission-driven leader dedicated to building strong people-centered organizations. As Vice President of Operations and Organizational Culture at the Ending Community Homelessness Coalition (ECHO), she oversees the people, processes, and strategies that position the organization to fulfill its mission with intention, integrity, and measurable impact.

Known as “The Fixer,” Catherine has a proven record of leading complex organizational transformation, driving efficiency, and creating sustainable organizational structures. Before joining ECHO, she served as Chief Operating Officer at United Way for Greater Austin, where she advanced internal operations to maximize community impact.

Rooted in deep commitment to equity and access, Catherine co-led a long-standing Spanish-language pro se divorce clinic, empowering women to navigate the legal system with dignity. She also contributes her time and expertise through board service with The Hill Country Ride for AIDS and The Aztlan Dance Company, advancing community well-being and cultural expression.

Across all her work, Catherine champions normalizing failure as a catalyst for innovation, trust, and growth, believing that when we let go of the illusion of perfection, we make room for learning, creativity, and real progress.

An avid traveler, she finds inspiration in exploring new cultures and savoring the beautiful journey of life.
