Our Programs and Services
The Center for Excellence in Nonprofits (CEN) believes that the most effective way to increase the capacity of the nonprofit sector is to strengthen and sustain the leaders and the board members of nonprofit organizations. Our goal is to be a strong resource of information and support for nonprofit emerging leaders, executive directors and board members seeking to maximize the effectiveness of their organizations. We accomplish this by providing access to best-in-class resources and programs, peer support networks, and personal consultation to hundreds of nonprofits in the counties of San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, and San Francisco.

We believe the Executive at any nonprofit has an extremely challenging position and it is our goal to prepare you for the marathon, not the sprint! In each of our programs, we build in personal sustainability, peer networking, and continuous learning.
